Kumar Arvind

Arvind brings extensive international experience in financial services, spanning investment banking and retail banking, with a track record of working with businesses across the U.S., Europe, Asia and Australia. He has dedicated much of his career to EquiLend, where he has steadily progressed from Senior Systems Analyst to Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer. His career journey, marked by increasing levels of responsibility—from individual contributor to people manager to executive leader—demonstrates his deep technical expertise and impactful leadership in financial technology. 

As Managing Director and CTO, Arvind is responsible for shaping and executing EquiLend’s technology strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company’s business objectives and growth ambitions. Under his leadership, Arvind has played a pivotal role in transforming the company’s technology landscape, championing the adoption of Agile Development, Cloud and DevOps practices, which are now integral to EquiLend’s operations. His rise within the organization reflects his unwavering commitment, strategic vision, and exceptional technical acumen. 

Arvind oversees the entire software development lifecycle, leading high-performing engineering teams across multiple regions and disciplines. He works closely with product and business leaders to drive new initiatives and craft technology roadmaps that support the company’s objectives. 

He holds a CTO Program certificate from Wharton Executive Education, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
