EquiLend notes that the SEC approved Rule 10c-1 and its securities lending reporting framework.
EquiLend understands the importance of providing regulators and market participants with increased transparency into securities lending transactions and is pleased to have actively participated in industry working groups providing feedback to the SEC during the rulemaking and public commentary process.
We note that the SEC has made several material amendments to its original proposal published in November 2021, most notably the removal of the 15-minute report timeframe for new and modified trades.
Since 2021, EquiLend has analyzed various scenarios and options to support our clients and their compliance with Rule 10c-1a’s reporting and associated data requirements. EquiLend plans to host an upcoming seminar where we will be addressing the Rule 10c-1 requirements, along with a showcase of our firm’s end-to-end securities lending and reporting solutions.
