Our History
In 2000, a group of global financial institutions joined together with a common goal of bringing efficiency to the securities finance industry by developing a standardized and centralized technology platform for the market. The result was EquiLend, formed in 2001, live in 2002, and now an independent fintech provider serving more than 190 global financial institutions. Our heritage of powering – and empowering – the securities finance market exists to this day. We have spent the past two-plus decades continually enhancing our technology solutions, expanding our client network and developing innovative approaches to meet the needs of the evolving securities finance industry. And we’re already building for the next 20 years and beyond with the most modern, trusted and reliable technology at our core.
